…Kids in hot cars and heatstroke
Know the Facts
- A child's body temperature rises three to five times faster than an adult's. When a child is left in a hot vehicle, that child's temperature can rise quickly — and they could die within minutes.
- Heatstroke begins when the core body temperature reaches about 104 degrees.
- A child can die when their body temperature reaches 107 degrees.
- In 2020, 25 children died of vehicular heatstroke.
- In 2018 and 2019, we saw a record number of hot car deaths — 53 children died each year — the most in at least 20 years, according to NoHeatstroke.org.

We aren’t ok with this problem
We have seen this on the news. A parent or grandparent leaves a baby in a car. They forget the baby is there. This is still a huge problem that needs to be addressed in this day and age. No one intends to leave their child in the car or thinks they will ever do it until its too late. All it takes is a split second distraction for you to forget a sleeping baby in the backseat.
Introducing the Forget Me Not Life Saving Car Alarm

From concept to your companion
Perfect way to remember your child in the car
We care about families
In today's busy world, it's all too easy to forget the things that are most important to us. That's why the Forget Me Not alarm system was created. This innovative system provides a reminder to parents, grandparents, and pet owners when their children or animals are in the car.

Meet the Inventor
Emily Hossann, a mother of 2 young boys, experienced a close call, inadvertently leaving her child in the car for a short time before realizing what was occurring. In todays busy and technologically cluttered world, distractions are aplenty and create many opportunities for confusion to penetrate our basic thoughts and instincts as parents and caregivers. Emily was determined to create an easy to use product to alert parents and caregivers to a child in the car. She set out to create the concept now patented as the Forget Me Not Alarm℠. Emily’s passion on preventing risk to kids in cars, peaked her interest and launched her active networking with organizations including KidsAndCars.org, The Juvenile Products Manufacturers Association (JPMA), and other organizations with a mission to protect our children. She has teamed with Canopy Design founder Mike Wieckowski (PhD) to bring the product from the conceptual stage to functioning prototypes ready for production. She has also enlisted industry Operations veteran Bruce Hayes, who is assisting Emily to create a company strategy designed to prevent injuries and make the product available to the public at a very affordable price.
